World premiere of the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé: Mercedes-AMG brings the Autobahn to Los Angeles

World premiere of the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé: Mercedes-AMG brings the Autobahn to Los Angeles

  • The new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4-Door Coupé combines revolutionary performance with maximum intensity
  • For the world premiere, Mercedes‑AMG transformed the legendary 6th Street Bridge in Downtown Los Angeles into a spectacular Autobahn experience
  • The adrenaline-fuelled event brought together friends and fans of AMG from the automotive scene, sports, fashion, film and culture

For the world premiere of the new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑Door Coupé, Mercedes‑AMG transformed the iconic 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles into an “Autobahn”. Beneath a vast LED wall in characteristic blue aesthetics and surrounded by the familiar signs with diagonal stripes on a white background, indicating the end of a speed limit, the new GT 4-Door Coupé was unveiled.

The 600 guests on site experienced a dynamic live driving performance with choreographed lighting effects that placed the vehicle’s capabilities centre stage. In an impressive reveal moment against the skyline of Downtown L.A., three vehicles sprinted along the specially created Autobahn section toward the sunset, tyres smoking.

When the vehicles returned shortly afterwards, none other than Hollywood star Brad Pitt as the new ambassador of the GT 4‑Door Coupé campaign, and F1 driver George Russell stepped out. Numerous other celebrities watched the thrilling show from the grandstand, including F1 driver Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Macht and selected VIP customers. The celebrations concluded with an exclusive performance by Blink-182, combining the energy of the brand with a musical highlight.

The world premiere concept captured the essence of the new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑Door Coupé: high sustained performance, confident agility and a highly emotional V8 experience make the vehicle “Autobahn approved”. As a performance model, the vehicle is aimed at drivers who do not want to miss out on intensity, precision and hallmark AMG character in the electric world – an EV for true petrolheads.

“Such a high-performance car as our new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑Door Coupé deserves a road without limits. Therefore, for its world premiere, we are bringing the Autobahn to Los Angeles, allowing the vehicle to impressively showcase its immense power and unrelenting endurance to the world.”
Michael Schiebe, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Production, Quality and Supply Chain Management, and Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH

The new sports car embodies the brand's pioneering spirit and elevates the driving experience to an unprecedented level. Strictly designed for high performance, the 4-Door Coupé is based on the exclusive high-performance AMG Electric Architecture (AMG.EA). Three innovative axial flux motors and directly cooled battery cells define a new dimension of performance, which was already demonstrated in 2025 by the spectacular record drive of the CONCEPT AMG GT XX in Nardò. Customers will have the choice between two powerful engine variants when ordering opens in a few days: the Mercedes‑AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ and the Mercedes‑AMG GT 55 4MATIC+.

Mercedes-Benz anniversary year “140 years of innovation”

Since Carl Benz filed the patent for the first automobile 140 years ago and Gottlieb Daimler built his motorised carriage shortly afterwards, Mercedes‑Benz has dedicated itself to constant innovation and to creating the world’s most desirable cars for customers. This ambition has driven every innovation – from the world's first automobile in 1886 to the biggest product launch programme in the company’s history that is currently underway. With its passion for performance and pioneering power, excellence and an unwavering commitment to customer service, the brand has consistently shaped the future of mobility. The result goes well beyond engineering achievement – it creates the unmistakable feeling that leads through everything Mercedes‑Benz does: Welcome home.

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 140 years of innovation by driving three new S-Class saloons on a trans-continental journey to 140 locations worldwide. Each place highlights the brand’s technology, heritage, pioneering spirit and worldwide presence. Along the way customers, fans and colleagues will get to join in the celebrations – on an epic adventure that will run until October.
