Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and the Nürburgring are continuing their successful collaboration and have extended their existing partnership agreement. As a result, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport will remain the Official Automotive Partner of the Nürburgring in the years to come. The official partnership has been in place since 2017 and underscores the close ties between two brands whose shared history at the Nürburgring stretches back almost 100 years and has been shaped by motorsport, performance and the pursuit of excellence.
Prominent presence at the legendary Nürburgring
As part of the contract extension, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport will continue to enjoy extensive and permanent brand visibility at one of the world's most iconic and renowned race circuits. A key element of the partnership is a 20-metre advertising installation at the famous Caracciola Karussell, the legendary banked corner located at kilometre 13 of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The naming rights to the AMG Arena and the AMG Grandstand at the Grand Prix circuit will also remain in place. The AMG VIP Lounge overlooking the pit lane and the start-finish straight will likewise continue to be part of the partnership. The commitment is further complemented by advertising spots on the ring°wall as well as selected joint communications activities.
A relationship shaped by motorsport and vehicle development
The close relationship between Mercedes-AMG and the Nürburgring extends far beyond the official partnership. For almost 100 years, the circuit has been the stage for major sporting successes for Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz – the very first race held at the Nürburgring in 1927 was won by Rudolf Caracciola in a Mercedes. Earlier this May, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport celebrated another outstanding success at the Nürburgring at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, securing overall victory with the Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL and its driver line-up of Maro Engel (GER), Maxime Martin (BEL), Fabian Schiller and Luca Stolz (both GER).
At the same time, the Nürburgring plays a central role in the testing and development of Mercedes-AMG road cars. The demanding characteristics of the circuit place the highest demands on both driver and machine, providing ideal conditions for evaluating performance under extreme conditions. Numerous test and development drives, as well as record-breaking runs, underline the circuit’s special significance for the brand. Most recently, on 28 July, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+ set a new record with a lap time of 7:32.070 minutes, making it the fastest car in its segment.

“Whether in motorsport or as a benchmark for our road cars, the Nürburgring has always held a special significance for the brand. It has been the setting for numerous milestones, from historic racing victories to pioneering record-breaking runs. In addition, we have now shared an official partnership for ten years, underlining our emotional connection with this unique race circuit. We are delighted to continue this successful collaboration in the years ahead.”
Simon Wilbers, Head of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport
“Mercedes-AMG and the Nürburgring have enjoyed a close partnership for many years. Both brands stand for emotion, performance and the very highest standards. We are therefore delighted to continue this shared journey over the coming years.”
Christian Stephani, Managing Director of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG

The energy consumption and CO₂ emissions of a passenger car depend not only on the efficient utilisation of fuel or the respective energy carrier by the car, but also on the driving style and other non-technical factors.
